The Rite Aid Pharmacy and Drug Store has been in operation since 1962. From their meager beginnings in Pennsylvania, they have grown to become the third largest pharmacy in the United States. Their website is incredibly user friendly, offering an easy to navigate system with plenty of pharmacy information.
The Rite Aid website only sells non-prescription products online. You may purchase over the counter medications, health, wellness, and beauty products through their website. If you wish to use their pharmacy, you have the options of refilling a prescription and transferring a prescription online. The prescription however, will need to be picked up and paid for at a physical store location. As a prescription customer you also have the option of creating an online account and managing your prescriptions from home.
Rite Aid offers competitive prices on all of their medications. They accept all major forms of insurance, as well as medicare and medicaid. If you choose to purchase over the counter medications or drug store products through their site, you have four shipping options. The Standard delivery method takes 3-5 days and is only $5.49. However, if you purchase is more than $34.99, your Standard shipping is free. You may also choose Expedited Shipping. If you package is less than 1 pound, expedited shipping is $11.75 for a 1-2 day delivery time. If your package weighs more than 1 pound, it will cost $11.75 for a 1-2 day delivery time. The last shipping option is One-Day, which guarantees your package will arrive in 24 hours for $18.75.
If you require customer service they may be reached three ways. You have the option of calling the Rite Aid toll free number between the hours of 8am-8pm (EST) Monday through Friday and 9:30am-6pm on Saturdays. You may also submit an email to the customer service department through their online submission form. If you need assistance quickly, you can chat with a customer service representative live through their website as well.
Riteaid.com Reviews 2015
The Rite Aid website does not offer customer reviews or testimonials. There are however, other sites which have customer reviews available online. Through Reseller Ratings we found a review for Rite Aid that was very poor, it was the only review available on their site. In this instance, the customer had issues with the advertised online promotion as well as the customer service.
The review site My Three Cents has 50 different reviews for Rite Aid, these reviews total a rating of only 2 of 5 stars. A common consensus is that the staff are rude and the customer service in store is very poor.
On the same site there was a review which stated that the pharmacy did not fill the medication correctly, nor did they follow the prescription label when dispensing the medication.
Through the Complaints Board online, there were another set of negative reviews for Rite Aid. Again, we found poor customer service and issues with advertisements as well as prescription filling.
Riteaid.com Coupon Codes
Rite Aid does not offer coupons for their pharmacy. They do offer a Rx Savings Program for their customers. Through this program you can save a minimum of 15% on both generic and brand named medications. The Rx Savings Program can be used as a supplement to traditional insurance or in place of insurance.
For all other Rite Aid purchases, they offer the “wellness+Plenti” card, which earns points through purchases. When points are accumulated they are translated into a discount at the register. The discounts through points can only be applied to the other products Rite Aid sells, not prescription medications filled through their pharmacy.
We have rated Rite Aid Pharmacy 2 of 5 stars. The easy site navigation and plethora of pharmacy information online works in their favor. Their prices and shipping appear to be highly competitive. Unfortunately, as prescription customers still must enter a physical store to complete their orders, we must take reviews from the storefront customers into account. These reviews were mixed, but mostly poor. Customer service standards and related issues are their chief complaint. The specific commonality of poor pharmacy services is what lead to our overall poor review of Rite Aid and their Pharmacy.
