Aurora Health Care Review – A Plethora of Complaints

on June 24 | in Reviews | by | with No Comments is the website for Aurora Health Care, a no for profit health care provider for persons who reside within northern Illinois and eastern Wisconsin. The Aurora Health Care system developed in 1984 thanks to the efforts of Good Samaritan Medical Center and Saint Luke’s Medical Center, and their staff’s desire to provide exceptional healthcare to the community at large. In the last 20 years, the Aurora Health Care system has grown exponentially, and now provides services to 70 pharmacies, 150 clinics, and 15 hospitals throughout 30 communities.

With a focus on low income residents, Aurora Health Care offers a unique network of physicians and specialists who strive to meet patients’ need quickly and conveniently. Most of the major, and some of the lesser known insurances are accepted at the Aurora Health Care facilities. While the Aurora Health Care website will offer a plethora of medical information and education opportunities, it is not an online pharmacy. This business is solely a network of physicians and facilities. Patients may search for a physician, schedule appointments, and find assistance with second opinions on diagnoses.

The customer service department may be contacted through a myriad of toll free numbers, as well as a physical address and the online contact tools. There are further opportunities for contact and discussion through the Aurora Health Care blog as well as their dedicated Facebook page. Reviews 2015

According to the Better Business Bureau, Aurora Health Care and their website have received a total of 86 complaints in three years. A large portion of these complaints (exactly 72) are associated with Billing and Collections Issues. The remaining complaints are centered on Problems with Products or Services and Advertising or Sales Issues.

Of the three most recent Billing Complaints, it appears that improper coding of patient’s insurance information and issues with physicians operating within the Aurora network of providers are the most common culprits. There also appears to be a lack of quality in regard to the customer service when these patients have attempted to resolve issues that were not due to their own neglect. Reviews Reviews

Further research illustrates repetitive issues with computerized billing, scheduled payments, and the continual lack of customer service. Responses from Aurora Health Care to the Better Business Bureau in regard to the complaints appear to somewhat address the grievances. There are instances showing that bills have been recoded and employees have been coached to provide better service. However, there are many responses which diplomatically insinuate that the issue is the patient’s, and therefore not Aurora Health Care’s responsibility. Coupon Codes

There are no available coupon codes for Aurora Health Care. The company and its correlating website do not accept coupon as they do not sell any form of merchandise.

Based solely on the facts that Aurora Health Care is not an online pharmacy, nor do they have positive reviews for the services they do offer, we are allocating a mere 2 stars out of 5 for their review. The number of complaints lodged with the Better Business Bureau against Aurora Health Care, over only a 3 year period, does not bode well for their overall service standards.

Phone, Email Review -2 out of 5 stars by Stephen K. Walker

Unfortunately for today’s consumer, the number of rogue or fraudulent online pharmacies outweighs the number of reliable organizations. These companies will attempt to convince consumers that they are legitimate online pharmaceutical companies.

Shoppers need to remember, reputable pharmacies will never send SPAM emails advertising their products or services, they will never sell a controlled substance with or without a prescription, and they will never sell prescription medication without a verified physician’s prescription.
